JESUS says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away,” (Luke 21:33).
This statement of our Lord Jesus is in accordance with fact or reality. In real world, ito’y isang katotohanan na ilang sibilisasyon, ekonomiya, kaharian at mga tagumpay ng tao ay naglaho at ‘di nagtagal. But the word of God still exists. Prophet Isaiah stated this, “The grass wither and the flowers fall, but the word of God stands forever,” (Isaiah 40:8).
Bilang Christian or believers at least tayo ay mayroong ginagawa na it would last forever. Wika nga, “What we do for Christ will last forever.” Anoman ang ginawa natin dito sa lupa; lihim man o hayag ito ay nakatala sa divine books, as a record of life. Worshiping and serving God, helping others in the name of our Lord will last. St. Paul in Colossian 3:23 mentioned the phrase, “Whatever you do, do it heartily to the Lord.”
Let’s adhere to the teachings of St. Paul: “So, we fix our eyes not on what we see, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal.”
Kaya kabayan, let’s focus our attention in eternity rather than temporal na it would not last forever. Have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and receive him as your personal Lord and Savior. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life,” (John 3:16). Today is the day of salvation, never wait until tomorrow what we can do for today. Today is the best preparation for tomorrow, think now before it’s too late! (giv777@myyahoo.com)
